Cinnamomum Verum (Cinnamomum zeylanicum Blume) is an evergreen tree which is native to Sri Lanka. Every part of this tree, including roots, tree and bark, has a significant smell that makes it of particular interest. However, the bark is without a doubt the most sought after component.
Indeed, by having a unique and remarkable organoleptic profile, it has been used for thousands of years. Warm, spicy, powdery, sweet, powerfully tasty, this bark is one of the most commonly used spices all over the world. From perfumes to flavours, and even medicines, the uses are varied and countless.
Relying on the age of the tree and the part of the bark taken, different raw material grades are obtained. Those grades will be used as whole spices (under the quilling aspect, the finest part) or as raw material to get the Cinnamon Bark Essential Oil. Small chips, as well as side slices, will all be ranged in five grades. From those, the oil obtained by the steam distillation process will have a different profile. More terpenic, richer in warm and sweet notes, or spicier and cruder, the possibilities are infinite.
Obtaining the expected quality, therefore, required a specific knowledge about the process and the raw material sourcing. Verger Naturals supplies organic and conventional Cinnamon Bark Essential Oil and by using several grades of raw materials sourced straight from our farming community, we guarantee a pure and premium product.Back
